OUR STORY

Dragons Elite Athletics is a leading youth sports academy, headquartered in South Florida, dedicated to athlete development through high-performance training, character development, and a proprietary method focused on guiding athletes toward elite performance.

Unlike many youth sports programs, our coaching staff is primarily full-time former professional athletes, experienced and licensed coaches, certified in The Dragon Way development approach, allowing them to focus on each player’s development with a transparent path to lasting success. We offer a clear and transparent program to the players free of politics and bias, and better value for time and effort for families.

Founded by Sarah Hernandez, a former Marine, a successful business executive, and a certified baseball and softball coach, along with a team of experienced business leaders, educators, and former professional athletes, Dragons Elite Athletics’ mission is to develop high-potential athletes on and off the field.

The Dragon Way: Our Method

Discover The Dragon Way™ — Dragons Elite’s proprietary coaching system blending sport science, personal growth, and character-building to develop complete athletes.

Discipline. Development. Opportunity. At Dragons Elite, we believe greatness is earned through integrity, guided growth, and proven results, delivered with empathy, mentorship, and care.

We have created the Dragons Elite Athletics' Development Playbook, a proprietary development approach, to develop attributes for success in life, beginning with performance and commitment in sports. Our athletes will embody the best of the human spirit and endeavor to outperform the competition, and in the process become elite members of society.

Our development goals focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle for youth while cultivating leadership.

We emphasize fitness development and the importance of strong mental health through athletics, helping young athletes grow physically and emotionally overcoming the mental challenge of competition. By optimizing performance to align with everyone’s potential, we create a foundation that supports long-term success.

Ultimately, our mission is to provide a clear path to elite performance and recognition, guiding youth toward their highest potential.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE

Youth sports are one of the most powerful forms of education for children. They shape character, build resilience, and open doors to future opportunities. Beyond physical health, professional sports coaching teaches discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and confidence.

However, the reality is that many youth programs fall short of this potential. Most clubs are not run professionally and suffer from poor management, leaving kids without a clear path to proper development.

Programs that rely heavily on volunteer coaches often lack advanced training and can fall into unclear standards, favoritism, and weak accountability around development and transparency. Many parents have experienced the frustration of off-field distractions and biased decisions that take attention away from what matters most: a child’s growth and enjoyment of the game.

At Dragons Elite, it feels different. The Dragon Code, signed by every family, sets a clear cultural standard that keeps the focus where it belongs: fun, development, and healthy competition.

Our Youth Leadership Approach

The Dragon Way™ combines physical training, mental coaching, and character development into a single, unified system. Instead of chasing short-term wins, the focus is on a clear and structured development path. Each child follows a long-term plan that builds skills, fitness, and mental strength, ensuring they can reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Every athlete is coached by a mentor certified in our elite framework. Progress is measured—not assumed. Each player receives a personal dashboard with development metrics, milestones, and feedback, keeping both athletes and parents engaged in the journey.

We believe that mental resilience, compassion, and self-awareness are just as vital as physical skills. That’s why The Dragon Way doesn’t just create strong athletes—it develops confident leaders. On the field, children learn to inspire others through effort, accountability, and respect. Beyond sports, they carry discipline, focus, and perseverance into school, friendships, and family life.

This foundation prepares them to become adults who can lead in any arena—athletics, academics, business, or community. By teaching young athletes to balance competitiveness with compassion, The Dragon Way builds leaders who thrive under pressure, uplift those around them, and remain grounded in strong values no matter where life takes them.
